Describe the intended work
Identify the rooms, floors or system portion being modified. Include the customer’s request and the drawing issue that supports it.
Separate work status
Keep additions, removals and existing-to-remain equipment in separate categories. Do not treat every symbol on an existing plan as new material.
Record field uncertainties
Existing product compatibility, concealed routes and actual conditions need the contractor’s verification. A drawing count cannot resolve conditions the drawing does not show.
Agree the pricing inputs
Device counts are not supplier quotes. Labor allowances need an agreed basis and exclusions. Confirm who supplies pricing, verifies site access and resolves scope gaps.
